who are they?

bushahr times is run by rohit and sriparna. it is not a result of great hard work and toil. rather these 2 thought about this for over a year. basically lazed. then, when the end of year drew near, they realised that they hadn’t created anything fruitful in all this while. they had just made plans. and fantasised about the plans. they travelled, a lot. wished to document all that and more. but nothing really happened.

not anymore. cause now bushahr times is up. and hopefully will be running soon.

these 2 also have another initiative running (yeah this one runs), and its called tiffinbox. tiffinbox is a design firm based in Delhi (India). The firm deals in communication design. when not designing, they travel. And when not doing either, they come here.

the real name is padmaparna ghosh, and she is an environment reporter with an English national daily newspaper. And usually when we go travelling, she is only one who always comes along.

sol’s day job is writing on the stock markets. At other times, he is bugging the tiffinbox people to design the perfect armachair for him – from where he could dole out expert comments on anything from wagyu beef, which he has never tasted, to the beauty of the great barrier reef, which he has never visited.

why bushahr times?

this is the proof of our journey from Shimla to Sangla via Rampur (in 2006). The name bushahr  had a magical effect on us. We treasured that name for the next 2 years, hoping noone else catches a similar fancy, and doing random google searches to check if its not taken. It wasnt thankfully. And now its ours.
