How many times have you wished that you had a double, who would be at work chasing a deadline while you were partying, a double who could stand-in for you pretending you were putting in overtime hours to your girlfriend, when in fact you were out chasing a newer-prettier thing?

For some of you, the wish has been granted. I came across an ad on TV while I was surfing mindlessly. It is called “future mail” (see it here). This new feature enables you to write emails and save them, to be sent on any future date and time, within five years. Though the feature says that it is great for setting reminders for birthdays, don’t we already have that on our computer calendars, phone reminders, google calendar and facebook reminders? How many more do we need?

However, the ad on TV shows a corporate boss receive a presentation at midnight on his blackberry from his junior, who is at the same time drinking the night away. Not so benign anymore, is it?

Agreed, that rich buggers with blackberries already had this feature: for wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, mothers, suspicious siblings or bosses. But THIS, right here, has now leveled out the playing field (pun intended).
